Incentives & Rebates

Many Provinces, States, and electrical utilities provide incentive programs, rebates, and tax credits for purchasing and installing Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment. The following is a list of incentives that Grizzl-E qualifies for.

  • For commercial uses, the tax credit covers 6% (up to $100,000 per unit) of the cost of the equipment.
  • Bidirectional charging equipment is eligible.
  • 2- and 3-wheeled vehicle equipment is eligible.
  • Starting after 2022, equipment must be placed in a low-income community or non-urban area.

Qualification Details
  • Anaheim Public Utilities is offering rebates to customers (both residential/domestic and business/non-domestic) who install Level 2 (240-Volt) plug-in Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers.
  • Customers will be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses. Up to $400 per any Level 2 EV charger for customers NOT participating in one of the Utilities networked Time of Use (TOU) programs of EV Rate programs Up to $1,000 per networked charger and the customer must also sign up for one of the Utilities networked TOU programs or EV Rate programs.

  • Applicant must be a GWP customer with an active GWP account.
  • Applications must be submitted no later than four months from the date of purchase and are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.
  • The rebate is for a Level II (240V) EV charger and must utilize the SAE J1772 charging plug.
  • Residential Hardwired Wi-Fi enabled EV Charger ($599 rebate). Standard Non Wi-Fi EV Charger ($200 rebate).

Qualification Details
  • The qualifying Level 2 (240-volt) EV charging stations must comply with SAE International J1772 standard.
  • The applicant must be an LADWP customer of record who permanently resides at a residential premises with an active electric meter served by LADWP.
  • Submit the completed application, along with all required support documentation, to LADWP by U.S. mail or, if available, online at LADWP.com.

Qualification Details
  • Charger would need to be installed at a 240v outlet or by a licensed electrician if no 240V outlet exists.
  • Charger would need to be in place for a minimum of three (3) years and would be considered a permanent, not temporary, installation.
  • Installer would need to obtain any required city or county electrical permits for installation.
  • Manufacturers list of Level 2 EV Chargers is not meant to be all inclusive and does not limit your selection. The information is provided as a resource. South Coast AQMD may periodically update this list as new manufacturers enter the market with chargers that meet the requirements of the program.

Qualification Details
  • 50% of the cost up to $250 to install a 240-volt outlet in your garage to plug in a Level 2 home charger.
  • Submit your electrician’s invoice by emailing GCEA. You must apply for the rebate within 120 days of the installation to qualify.
  • 70%, up to $500, of the cost of a level 2 home charger if you sign up for the time-of-use rate (TOU) to qualify for the rebate.

  • Be a member of PVREA, Purchase and install your charger prior to submitting your rebate. Submit rebate within 90 days.
  • Charger must be Wi-Fi enabled with a dedicated circuit for the charger.

  • Submit an application online or download the application. Please include all invoices for purchase and installation. Include a photo of the installation and equipment with your rebate application.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Infrastructure and Conversion Credits
Qualification Details
  • If you are claiming one of these credits, complete the Residential Alternative Fuel Conversion and Infrastructure Credit for Individual Income tax return filers and attach it to the D40, Schedule U. Complete the Commercial Alternative Fuel Vehicle Conversion and Infrastructure Credit form if filing a Corporate or Unincorporated Franchise tax return and attach it to the D20 or D30, Schedule UB.

  • The vehicle must be registered to the customer’s address.

  • Be an Alliant Energy residential electric customer whose account is in good standing.
  • Purchase and install a UL or ETL certified Level 2 charging station connected to an electric meter billed under an Alliant Energy residential electric service rate.
  • Own or lease a registered electric vehicle (EV) that can receive a Level 2 charge.
  • EV DOT registration address must match installation address on this rebate form.
  • EV charging station must be located at the installation address on this rebate form.
  • Purchase and install a Level 2 EV charging station between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.

Qualification Details
  • SWEPCO residential customers who own or rent a single-family home can install an ENERGY STAR-certified Level 2 EV Charging Station to qualify for a $250 rebate.
  • Please note Level 2 EV Charging Station rebates have limited funding. Rebates are only available while funding lasts.
  • You can purchase an ENERGY STAR-certified Level 2 EV Charging Station online, from a local retailer or a dealership. Be sure to save your receipt since it’s part of your rebate application.
  • Once you’ve installed your Level 2 EV Charging Station, you’re ready to submit your rebate request. Complete the online form with a picture of your receipt.

Qualification Details
  • EVSE must be safety certified by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).
  • EVSE must be purchased new, used EVSE is not eligible for the rebate.
  • EVSE must be installed by a licensed, professional electrical contractor (for applicants that include installation expenses in their application).
  • EVSE may either be networked or non-networked, though networked is recommended.
  • While not a requirement, applicants are encouraged to consider EVSE that meets ENERGY STAR certification.
  • EVSE may either be publicly or privately accessible.
  • EVSE may either be hard-wired or plug-in.

Qualification Details
  • The rebate may be used to pay for a licensed electrician’s services and electrical and charging equipment.
  • In order to install one or more of the following charging system components: (1) a 240 volt wiring circuit with a 50 amp circuit breaker, (2) a NEMA 14-50 240V outlet, (3) a Level 2 home charging station.
  • The rebate provided will be $250 or the amount of documented, eligible charging system expenditures, whichever is less.

  • Get a $500 rebate for a previously purchased, qualifying Level 2 (240 Volt outlet) EV charger.
  • Must be enrolled in Time-of-Day rate program.

  • Eligible for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) only. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), such as the Toyota Prius, are not eligible.
  • Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2021.

Qualification Details
  • Randolph EMC is offering one $500 rebate incentive for Level 2 charging stations to each member who participates in the REVUP Pilot program.
  • This offer is limited to the first 50 REMC residential members to sign up for this program.
  • To qualify for the rebate, member-owners must be a registered owner of an electric vehicle, purchase and install a Wi-Fi connected Level 2 Charger and agree to share the data collected by the Level 2 Charger.

  • ENERGY STAR electric vehicle charger units listed on energystar.gov/products are eligible for the $200.00 or $250.00 program rebate.
  • Equipment for which a rebate is requested must be new and purchased in Oklahoma.
  • Limit (1) electric car charger rebate per PSO residential customer account per year.
  • Rebates valid for purchases between August 1, 2019 – October 31, 2021 or while rebate funds are available for this program.
  • The rebate paid will not exceed the purchase price of the product (excluding taxes, shipping, and installation charges).

  • Member must sign up to receive “Beat the Peak” notifications via text messages.
  • Charging equipment must have programmable capability that can be set for delayed charge to avoid charging during peak hours (peak hours are 3-7 p.m. May-October).
  • United reserves the right to perform site visits to verify installation and charge time settings.

  • 75% of charger cost and/or installation cost up to $200. Maximum incentive per charger will not exceed $200. Limit of one charger per vehicle.
  • Equipment must be on the approved chargers list.
  • In order to receive the charger incentive, your Rocky Mountain Power account must be enrolled in the EV Time of Use program.

Qualification Details
  • You must be a current Tacoma Power residential customer.
  • You must purchase and install your equipment prior to applying for the incentive.
  • Hardwired and plug-in equipment qualifies for the incentive.
  • You must provide proof of purchase (dated within the last 90 days) with your application for one of the approved products.
  • Product specifications:
    • Level 2 charger;
    • Must be UL Listed;
    • Must be at least 30 amps (7.2 kW);
    • May be plug-in or hardwired;
    • May be network connected or non-network connected.

  • Single-family homes can get a rebate of up to 50% of the purchase and installation costs of an eligible Level 2 EV charger, to a maximum of $350. This includes duplexes or townhouses with private garages or dedicated parking.

Prince Edward Island
Qualification Details
  • The Government of Prince Edward Island is now offering the most generous electric vehicle (EV) incentive in Canada by providing $5,000 to Islanders who purchase a new or used EV. Government will also offer $2,500 to those who buy a plug-in hybrid from April 1, 2021 onwards.
  • In addition, Islanders who utilize the PEI Universal EV Incentive (both BEV and PHEV) will receive a free Level 2 Grizzl-E Smart charger. Islanders will be responsible for all installation costs associated with charging infrastructure. Only one charger will be given per household.
